All Jon wanted for his birthday were the keys to the car, but instead he got a lousy magic ring.
Seeking to feed his addiction to life energy, Efysian of the Wolf Clan travels across dimensions to kidnap Jon’s father–a Dragon Clan wizard who fled to Earth. Although Jon vows to mount a rescue, he’s woefully unprepared to do battle. Can a high school kid from California survive long enough to outwit the most evil wizard the magical world has ever known, or will Efysian add the young Dragon Clan wizard to his gruesome collection of trophies?

What Amazon Readers are saying:
“Jon and his friends with their humor and lively banter and sometimes down right bickering made this story believable. Rogers did an excellent job creating a magical fantasy world you’ll want to visit over and over again.” – Karen
“Each of her characters have unique talents that add dimension to the story. Rogers has done a magnificent job with character-development. The conflicts she throws at her characters take real-life grit to solve. She’s a master of settings. This book has everything and I give it six stars on a five-star scale.” – Jan
“It was exciting, compelling, and believable. We were hooked from the first chapter. Fans of fantasy and adventure stories, we are anxiously awaiting the sequel!” – Randine
“If you are looking for an adventuresome read in the Harry Potter vein, stop here and read The Last Great Wizard of Yden.” – 21 Days
I love how “active” his entry into this new world is. Rather than having him observe it, “it” HAPPENS to him. This action is really awesome and completely refreshing to me as a reader.

I thought I must be in another “computer screen” world when snowflakes suddenly began falling as I read your excerpt. But your words made me keep reading in spite of the cold, and now I want a puleden to carry my packages. Good job!

I love the combination of the strange (cygard, puleden) and the familiar (whips and road apples). I can feel his confusion. Great excerpt!
